π No Cuppa?
Where Flavor Meets Color
Latte da Vinci Gallery
Ongoing β September 26
Good news! Even in the doldrums of late Summer, ART thrives. A new gallery opened last week in Downtown Pleasanton. Latte da Vinci is both a gallery and creative space.
It is a place for artists to gather, appreciate masterpieces, and be creative in an environment filled with original, collectible art by local and regional artists. This gallery operates on a hybrid co-op / membership model, allowing artists to participate either by becoming members or by entering art competitions and exhibits as non-members.
The atmosphere is casual and not fussy. The gallery / coffee bar urges visitors to join others in a cup of coffee, explore the galleryβs rotating exhibits, or take part in one of their hands-on art classes. At Latte da Vinci, art meets everyday life β one brushstroke (and one sip) at a time.
(Sadly, for me, the sips donβt appear to included tea. So no cuppa.)
SLAA member, Bonnie Polson, has two works in this Grand Opening show. Bonnie was chosen as Artist of the Month earlier this year for the photograph on the right, the waters of Lake Merritt.
A sampling of a few other works from this eclectic Grand Opening are included below. No artist identification was provided.
