You are Invited to SLAA’s Third Saturday Art-Making Gatherings!

SLAA invites San Leandro residents to join us at The First Presbyterian Church of San Leandro, 180 Estudillo Avenue, Saturday, February 21, 12:30pm-3:30pm, where we will be hosting free art-making events on the third Saturday of the month. These gatherings are designed to foster creativity in a social, supportive environment, and to connect with others who share a love of making art in all its forms. Participants are encouraged to bring supplies for a small art project they are currently working on—or to start something new. (Please note: no oil paints.) The San Leandro Art Association will also have a limited selection of art supplies available to share. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please RSVP or direct questions to contact@sanleandroart.org

Artist of the Month Competition

January 2026 Winner!

Congrats to Paula Greer, our January Artist of the Month Competition winner.

Interested in Local Bay Area Art Happenings?

SLAA member, Bridgit Lawley, culls the web for information about art events in the San Francisco Bay Area with a focus on the East Bay museums and galleries. Approximately once a month she sends out an email-distillation of the information she has tracked down. An example is to the right. Included with each event notification is a link to a deep dive Blog with information about the artists and/or show. Very entertaining and informational!
