The San Leandro Art Association General Meeting
November 10, 5:30-7:30
Main Library • 300 Estudillo Ave • Karp Room
Socializing starts at 5:30 p.m. At 6:00 p.m. a short meeting takes place and at 6:30 p.m. a free art demonstration will start. At the November meeting, local artist and activist Kris “Urbanrezlife” Longoria will be sharing her story and demonstrating the creation and intention behind the making of prayer ties. Members will also be displaying artwork for the Artist of the Month Contest.
This free event is open to the public. All ages are welcome.

SLAA member, Bridgit Lawley, culls the web for information about art events in the San Francisco Bay Area with a focus on the East Bay museums and galleries. Approximately once a month she sends out an email-distillation of the information she has tracked down. An example is to the right. Included with each event notification is a link to a deep dive Blog with information about the artists and/or show. Very entertaining and informational!

Established in 1957, the San Leandro Art Association is a non-profit organization which provides a variety of art-based activities for artists in our local community as well as students in the San Leandro Unified School District.
Our Mission
Provide a forum for the encouragement, enjoyment, and development of artistic works by and for our members;
Exhibit members' works of visual art through various venues;
Bring visual art to the community and foster community participation.
Support the art teachers and students in the San Leandro Unified School District.
