he San Leandro Art Association has their general meetings on the second Tuesday of the month. Starting at 5:30pm with a social gathering, with light snacks, the main meeting begins at 6pm and lasts approximately 20 minutes. During a short break you are invited to vote for the Artist of the Month from the member artwork on display. At 6:30 we introduce the August guest speaker: Katherine Canfield Shepard, Quilled Paper Artist. She will give a presentation describing the creation of artwork using the 15th century art form of making art using thin strips of paper to create sculptural artwork. You may find her website here.
