What were you doing 60 years ago? Were you still just a twinkle in your mother’s eye, or were you already making art? Whatever the answer, Sun Gallery invites you to join it and revel in its 60th Anniversary Celebration!
A little background: in 1965, the Hayward Festival of the Arts was launched. A decade later, 1975, the Hayward Festival of the Arts, Inc. became the Hayward Area Forum of the Arts, Inc., a/k/a the Sun Gallery!
It is a remarkable achievement, and a tribute to the artists involved, that a small organization like the Sun Gallery has been able to weather the storms of changing artistic tastes and financial upheavals. Be sure to stop by the Gallery. Enjoy the current show and lend your spirit to the good vibes generated by the Gallery’s faith in the flourishing of art in the East Bay.
